Adam Does Rainforest Alliance Coffee! |
Have you ever wondered if there is a coffee that tastes great, good for farmers and helps save our environment? If there is, is it organic coffee? Arabica beans? Fair trade? The answer is YES and all of the above! It’s all in the beans and where they come from. The beans are called Rainforest Alliance Certified coffee.
We all know the rising importance of taking care of our environment. At Adam’s BrunchBox, we have followed the footsteps of other prominent cafes which embrace products that are environment-friendly, especially their coffee. In fact, starting with the month of May, Adam’s BrunchBox is proud to serve you coffee that is Rainforest Alliance Certified.
What is Rainforest Alliance Certified coffee? They are grown on farms where forests, rivers and soils are protected and wildlife conserved. All workers are treated like you and I would be treated at work. They are respected, paid decent wages, properly equipped and given access to education and medical care. When we see the green “Rainforest Alliance” seal, we can be sure that the farms have met demanding social and environmental standards, and are on a path towards true sustainability.
Why buy Rainforest Alliance Certified coffee?
By buying Rainforest Alliance Certified coffee, we can do our bit to help improve the livelihood for farm families; assist better trading practices; and conserve wildlife and rainforest habitats.
What am I drinking? What's in my daily coffee from Adam’s?
If you like a good strong morning coffee to get you going, this is it! This is a great milk-based coffee, strong to taste, smooth and well-balanced, leaving a hint of caramel flavour. These coffee beans are from a single origin selected from Peru, are 100% Certified Organic Arabica beans and are certified by the “Rainforest Alliance”. They are hand-picked and roasted fresh weekly by the Home Barista Institute in Melbourne, and Adam’s BrunchBox is extremely honoured to have secured a fantastic business relationship with the Home Barista Institute in presenting this delightful coffee to all of our customers.
So come in for your daily coffee fix and help us support the environment and the farm families!

Meet Daisy, Adam's Latest Gal! |
For those of you who visit Adam’s on Saturdays, you may have met Daisy who has just started working with Adam’s. Daisy is Chef Andrew’s niece from Geraldton and is currently studying at ECU.
Daisy’s experience in hospitality began in 2003 at Two Tarts Cafe in Northampton where she developed most of her customer skills and found an interest in table-waiting as well as meeting new people. Her experience further expanded while working with 100-1 Cafe which catered for various functions - in particular, the race meetings in Geraldton. This continued in 2007 after her Year 12 graduation.
In 2008, Daisy moved to Perth in order to pursue her dreams in journalism. Whilst studying full time, she also worked part time at Subway in Victoria Park.
Here are some anecdotes from Daisy:
“What I enjoy most about working at Adam’s is the friendly and inviting atmosphere it upholds. I strongly believe that if your work environment is enjoyable and warm, then your customers will be happy. As far as food is concerned, I love food! The fact that food can fulfil your tastebuds and at the same time give a great sense of satisfaction from the different flavours is to me absolutely delightful!”
Welcome on board, Daisy! |

Starting from this May edition of APPEEL, Adam’s BrunchBox is terribly thrilled to feature some of our regular customers who have been offering their unwavering support for us since we opened six months ago. We believe that it is you, the loyal customers, who make our business experience absolutely rewarding and memorable. It is the unmeasurable synergy between our customers and us that breathes life into this little humble shop, and we cannot thank you enough.
In this edition, we feature our first four ‘raving fans’ (out of a whole list) with whom we have the utmost pleasure of seeing almost everyday with their regular favourites. We ask them three basic questions about Adam’s, and we are eager to share their replies with all of you. We certainly had a great time not only receiving feedback from them, but also had the opportunity (for some who weren’t in a rush) to touch base and strike memorable conversations with. For those with whom I (Simon) had interviewed and are not featured here yet, rest assured you will appear in June’s edition!
What is it about Adam’s that brings you back?

After juggling responsibilities more than a juggler can in a circus act for the past 6 months, I have decided to leave the organisation I have been working with for the past 6 years and focus on Adam’s BrunchBox.
I am extremely excited about spending more time working on the business, with Andrew and with the marvellous team. Even more thrilling is meeting all the customers who visit the shop, as well as the catering customers who have been supporting us. All of you will definitely see more of me very soon! And speaking of catering, we have recently revamped our website which includes online catering, which is very convenient! Check it out!
